Spectrum Availability Map
The spectrum availability map provides a complete view of the amount of bandwidth available for GAA layer users after factoring in the presence of various federal and non-federal incumbents.
When a user opens the HTML file, all the layers are selected. It is recommended that the user selects one layer at a time to understand how various incumbents affect the bandwidth availability in CBRS spectrum. For planning purposes, it is recommended that “Managed Spectrum - Current” layer be used to estimate total CBRS bandwidth available at any geographic location.
Legend Definitions
DPA – Cat A Neighborhood
Returns the DPA neighborhoods for Cat A CBSDs (as contours).
DPA – Cat B Neighborhood
Returns the DPA neighborhoods for Cat B CBSDs (as contours).
Managed Spectrum - Current
Returns contours where CBRS spectrum is managed by SAS available and corresponding bandwidth availability in MHz. In this case, the spectrum is available for use by the CBSDs but may require lowering EIRP in certain cases OR suspended for period of time due to federal radar activities.
3550-3650 Exclusion Zones
Returns contours of exclusion zones (inside and over which all CBSDs are impacted) in frequency range 3550-3650 MHz.
3650-3700 Exclusion Zones
Returns contours of exclusion zones (inside and over which all CBSDs are impacted) in frequency range 3650-3700 MHz.
Quiet Zone Exclusion Areas
Returns contours of exclusion areas in Quiet Zones.
Quiet Zone Cat A Neighborhood
Returns contours of neighborhoods of Quiet Zones for Cat A CBSDs.
Quiet Zone Cat B Neighborhood
Returns contours of neighborhoods of Quiet Zones for Cat B CBSDs.
