Combining Technology and Experience to Offer Cost-effective, Easy to Deploy 4G Broadband Networks
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL – September 23, 2013 – Telrad Networks, a global provider of innovative 4G wireless and telecommunications solutions, announced today their partnership with PCS Technologies, a Minnesota-based systems integrator, to provide advanced broadband wireless technologies, products and services to enable operators and Internet service providers to easily deploy cost-effective broadband networks.
As part of the agreement, PCS Technologies will be able to leverage the strength of the full Telrad solution suite, and offer their customers Telrad’s carrier-grade base stations, core network solutions, and end-user equipment, including the BreezeCOMPACT™ and BreezeMAX™ product families. The companies have long-term plans to continue to serve the 3.65 GHz U.S. band market, empowering operators and ISPs to establish affordable networks
John Feldman, Vice President and General Manager at PCS Technologies, commented, “As a full-fledged 4G systems integrator, we’re constantly striving to protect our customers’ investments. Telrad is taking products that we know extremely well, from many years of working with Alvarion—and elevating them to offer a suite of future-proof 4G products —with a seamless migration path from WiMAX to LTE-Advanced solutions.”
The Telrad and PCS partnership will enable broadband network operators to improve their competitive strength and performance, spanning a wide range of frequencies up to 6 GHz, including a comprehensive solution for the 2.5 GHz licensed and the 3.65 GHz semi-licensed bands in the U.S. Telrad’s compact, all-in-one, all-outdoor base stations optimize 4G performance, providing scalability, high capacity and enhanced coverage.
“Since the acquisition of Alvarion’s broadband division, our team has been working diligently to meet with all of our key partners and deliver a smooth transition,” said Ran Bukshpan, Telrad CEO. “We are very appreciative of experienced partners like PCS Technologies, whose team already has an in-depth understanding of our product features and benefits – without any added training requirements. This partnership will most certainly strengthen our business growth in the U.S. this year and beyond.”
“Telrad is continuing to provide leadership and strategy to move forward in the market, supporting many of our key customers – such as the Chippewa Valley Inter-networking Consortium (CINC).” The deployment of CINC’s new multi-county WiMAX network, is designed to improve the availability and efficiency of government services, public safety, and emergency medical services in the region, and will also enhance educational opportunities and economic development in the state of Wisconsin.
Telrad solutions, operating in the sub-6 GHz bands, offer reliable wireless broadband connectivity. Especially suited for the U.S. 3.65 GHz band is the flagship product, BreezeCOMPACT. With an enhanced feature set, BreezeCOMPACT supports the 3.65-3.7 GHz range and offers enhanced capabilities such as spectrum analyzer and DCS (Dynamic Channel Selection). Telrad CPEs offer fast installation tools and increased coverage using high gain antenna design
