Telrad’s BreezeCOMPACT 3000 expands to support networks in the 2.3 GHz (Band 40) and 2.5 GHz (Band 41) Spectrum

Toronto, Canada – Canadian Wireless Trade Show – October 29, 2014 — Telrad Networks,
a global provider of innovative 4G wireless and telecom solutions, today announced the expansion of its BreezeCOMPACT 3000 eNodeB and CPE portfolio to support 2.3 GHz WCS (Band 40). The BreezeCOMPACT 3000 and Outdoor CPE 7000 solution fits the specific requirements for WCS band in LTE Band 40 for North America. This expansion of Telrad’s portfolio builds on the success of Telrad’s field-proven 2.5 GHz (Band 41) and 3.4-3.8 GHz (Band 42/43) product lines.

The newest LTE-Advanced base station solution will meet the needs of a wide variety of operators that face the increasing challenge of delivering high-capacity fixed broadband services in rural and suburban areas. This announcement comes at a time of increasing focus in North America to provide quality broadband to such areas. In Canada, a related program expects to ensure that by 2019, 98 percent of residents gain access to higher quality (at least 5 Mbps), lower-cost internet services. Telrad meets such program requirements by adding support of the 2.3 GHz WCS band to existing 2.5 GHz, 3.5 GHz and 3.65 GHz bands.

The BreezeCOMPACT’s energy-efficient, small form factor, high power transmission, and superior NLOS coverage — along with Telrad’s simplified LTE EPC — reflect the company’s focus on minimizing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of operators seeking to deliver quality wireless broadband services to remote areas.

Telrad Networks is exhibiting this week at Canadian Wireless at Booth #217, showcasing its newest LTE-Advanced products.
